DATA CENTER RADAR
Privacy notice
Effective October 20, 2026 · Public research and membership
Account and access information
We use your email address and an authentication identifier to sign you in, match your membership, prevent unauthorized access, and respond to support requests. Cloudflare provides email verification and website hosting. Essential authentication cookies keep you signed in.
Payments and subscriptions
Stripe hosts checkout and the billing portal. Data Center Radar does not collect full card numbers or card security codes. We retain the account email, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected plan, accepted terms version, checkout time, payment-confirmed access period, and subscription status to provide and manage membership.
Stripe sends signed notifications when payments or subscriptions change. We use those notifications and Stripe’s current billing records to activate access, process renewals, and reflect cancellation. Stripe processes payment information under its privacy policy.
Company accounts and membership inquiries
Company administrators provide employee emails to assign and replace seats. We keep membership and invitation records to manage company access. When you submit a membership, invoice, research or planned-feature inquiry, we store the contact and request details privately and use Brevo to notify our support inbox. Cloudflare Turnstile protects these forms from automated abuse. These requests do not subscribe you to the digest or authorize payment. Contact support@datacenterradar.com to request correction or deletion.
Research and operational records
Public project previews show limited announcement-level details. Detailed sources are provided through membership. Private research notes and member account information are not included in public profiles. Hosting and security providers may process request information, such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the service.
Optional audience question
After sign-in, you may tell us what best describes your role. This is optional, stays private, and does not affect pricing or access. We store your selected role, answer date, and membership status when answered, and compare that with later verified payments and current subscription records. Unanswered roles remain unknown. You can change or remove your answer in your account. We retain the first observed account date for private audience reporting; it is not necessarily the date the account was originally created. We do not send role answers to advertising networks or treat them as consent to browser measurement or email.
Public-record privacy
Our approval histories and published research summaries may identify public bodies, applicants, and officials where their official involvement matters. We omit the names of private residents and opposition organizers from summaries and structured records, including copied quotations from hearings or public comments. Links to original public records may lead to documents containing those names; linking does not reproduce them in Radar.
Weekly email digest
If you subscribe, Brevo processes your email address, consent and confirmation records, and email delivery and engagement information to operate the digest. We send only after you confirm your email. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and request information to protect the signup form from automated abuse. Membership does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
Unsubscribe using the link in any digest. Brevo retains unsubscribe and suppression records to help prevent further marketing sends. You can also contact support@datacenterradar.com for help or to request deletion. Newsletter links may include campaign labels used by our optional website conversion measurement described below. Brevo handles information under its privacy policy.
Website measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on public pages to understand visits, referring websites, popular pages, and loading performance. This measurement does not use analytics cookies or identify individual visitors. Cloudflare does not log query strings in Web Analytics. Membership and payment records are kept separately to administer subscriptions.
With your permission, we also use first-party conversion measurement. A random browser identifier lasts for 30 days. We record public page paths, membership-access clicks, referring domains, and the source, medium, campaign, and content labels in tagged links, plus an X ad click identifier (twclid) when present. We do not collect full referral URLs, search queries, card details, or private project contents through this measurement. If you sign in, we may associate that measured browser journey with your account identifier and confirmed membership purchase to understand conversion. This information is available only to the site owner and is not sold or shared with advertising networks.
Choose “No thanks” or use “Measurement preferences” at the bottom of a public page to withdraw permission. Withdrawal removes the current measured browser history and its attribution link, while required billing records remain. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for this optional measurement. Detailed browser activity is removed after 90 days. Payment records remain subject to the billing retention policy below.
With first-party measurement permission, paid CSV exports add only a daily aggregate of generated export responses and included record counts. This aggregate contains no account, visitor, search or project identifiers. Owner and marked test activity is excluded. It measures responses generated, not unique users or whether a file was opened; activity without permission remains unmeasured.
With first-party measurement permission at digest signup and authenticated sign-in, we may privately match your confirmed digest email to your account using a keyed comparison inside our server. We retain the confirmation event, account identifier, consent observation and related browser identifiers to measure later membership conversion. Email comparison keys and account identities are not sent to Analytics or advertising networks. This matching begins with the October 19, 2026 release and does not reconstruct earlier journeys. Unmatched identities and incomplete payment history remain unknown. Turning off first-party measurement or sending GPC/DNT removes the related matching link; required billing and email subscription records remain. Optional matching records are removed after 90 days or when their supporting browser history expires. Confirmed digest subscriptions remain separate from paid membership.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is off until you make a new Analytics choice in Measurement preferences. Earlier first-party or Google Ads choices do not turn it on. If you choose “Analytics and first-party” or “Allow all measurement,” we send approved public-page addresses, a general page title, referring domains, limited campaign labels, membership-access clicks, newly confirmed digest subscriptions and confirmed checkout-start events to Google. Google may also receive browser and network information to operate Analytics. Automatic enhanced measurement, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.
We do not send your email, account identifier, audience-role answer, private research contents, arbitrary URL queries or private page titles. Private pages are excluded from page-view tracking. After an authenticated, verified first membership payment, we may send its unique invoice identifier, paid amount and currency as a purchase event. Owner and marked test accounts, renewals, upgrades, historical purchases and payments before your Analytics consent are excluded. Stripe remains the source for billing and our private audience reporting measures qualified customers separately.
Your Analytics choice and Analytics cookies last up to 30 days. Google Analytics event data is subject to the property's retention setting and Google's policies, separately from our 90-day first-party browser-history retention. Turn Analytics off using “First-party only” or “Turn off optional measurement.” We stop future Analytics events and clear the Analytics cookies set for this site; already sent Analytics data is not removed by that browser choice. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Your choices do not affect membership, billing or email subscriptions. See Google's privacy policy.
Optional checkout question
Stripe checkout may ask how you heard about Radar. You can skip this question. If you answer, Stripe stores your selection with the completed checkout, and we keep it with your membership records to understand how customers discover Radar. This answer is separate from browser measurement and does not change your measurement preferences, price, or access.
Google Ads measurement
Google Ads measurement is off by default for every visitor. We enable it only after you select “Allow all measurement.” Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track override an allowance. A saved explicit allowance lasts 30 days.
The Google tag measures whether our advertising leads to a paid membership. Google may receive ad-click identifiers, browser and network information, a general page address, the amount and currency of a confirmed first membership payment, and its unique invoice identifier to prevent duplicate counting. We do not send your name, email address, card details, or private research contents in our conversion event. Advertising personalization is disabled.
You can turn Google measurement off using “Measurement preferences” at the bottom of a public page and selecting “First-party only” or “Turn off optional measurement.” Existing “No thanks” and “First-party only” choices continue to block Google measurement. Your explicit choice lasts 30 days. Google advertising cookies may retain attribution for up to 90 days. Opting out stops future Google measurement and removes the Google advertising cookies we set on this site. First-party conversion measurement remains a separate opt-in. Your choices do not affect purchases or access. Google handles data under its privacy policy; see how Google uses information from partner sites.
X Ads measurement
The X pixel measures public page visits and confirmed advertising results. X measurement is off by default for every visitor and requires “Allow all measurement.” Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track override an allowance. Earlier explicit Google Ads choices do not enable X. X may receive its ad-click identifier, browser and network information, and a general public page address. We send a Sign up event only after a confirmed double opt-in digest subscription, and a Purchase event only after an authenticated first live paid membership has been verified from Stripe. The Purchase event includes the paid amount, currency, and unique Stripe checkout session identifier for duplicate control.
We do not send X your email, phone number, card details, account identifier, private research, or member page activity. X tracking is limited to public pages and verified conversion returns. Turn it off in Measurement preferences by selecting “Analytics and first-party,” “First-party only,” or “Turn off optional measurement.” Your choice lasts 30 days. Opting out stops future X events; data previously received by X remains subject to X’s privacy policy.
Retention and your choices
We retain information as needed to operate accounts, document billing and accepted terms, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, contact support@datacenterradar.com. Some payment and security records may need to be retained after an account closes.
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals according to the membership terms. It does not automatically delete the account or records needed to administer past payments.
